Here is what you mean to me and my recovery journey.

By Brittney McCracken

This group of women has been the most consistent people I have had in my life. I’ve been incarcerated four times, and I finally reached programming during my last incarceration. I went to Eleanor Chase for their year-out program from WCCW. This last incarceration I was hungry for a new life and change. When I got to Eleanor Chase, the “A Woman’s Worth team” came in and actually gave me a sense of people who actually cared about me. That came in consistently to do positive fun activities that actually made me feel like a real human being and not just another number. The women felt more like friends than anything else. They are role models on how I want to be once I come around full circle and I know my worth because of these women.

Just to have people who genuinely want to see me succeed and care about me, listen to me, and continue to show up. This is the most genuine group of women I have ever met. These women have changed my life and even after releasing, made the time to still keep me inspired, and took time out of their lives to check in and keep motivating me for the better. These women are amazing and will forever be a part of my life and I thank God every day for them. I am a better person because of them and I will not be going to prison anymore!!

You guys mean so much to me thank you for everything!
